National Museum of Kazakhstan

The National Museum of the Republic of Kazakhstan is located on Independence Square in Astana and is one of the largest and most modern museums in Central Asia. It opened in 2014. Established under the “Cultural Heritage” program at the initiative of Kazakhstan’s First President Nursultan Nazarbayev, the museum spans 74,000 m². It features seven main exhibition halls: Ancient and Medieval History, General History, Ethnography, Independent Kazakhstan, Art, Astana, and the Gold Hall. The collection includes over 175,000 artifacts. The museum is equipped with interactive technologies, multimedia guides, and an educational center for children.
