Nazarbayev Center

The Nazarbayev Center is a multifunctional state institution in Astana, dedicated to scientific, cultural, and educational activities. It was established in 2012 by presidential decree. Built on the foundation of the former Presidential Cultural Center, the Nazarbayev Center aims to systematically study and promote the history of Kazakhstan’s statehood. The building has 9 floors and covers 28,000 m². Its architectural design was created by renowned British architect Norman Foster. The dome rises 38.5 meters, with an internal opening diameter of up to 81 meters. The center houses a library with 460,000 books, exhibition halls, conference rooms, and research departments. It serves as a key venue for exploring Kazakhstan’s modern history and leadership legacy.
