Established in the 1870s on the site of an old cemetery in the former city of Verny, the park was officially named in 1942 to honor the 28 Panfilov Guardsmen Division who defended Moscow during World War II. It spans 18 hectares, bordered by Konaev, Gogol, Zenkov, and Kazibek Bi streets. Key landmarks include the Eternal Flame, Glory Memorial, Ascension Cathedral, and the Military Museum. Elm, poplar, oak, maple, and spruce trees give the park its lush character. It remains a cherished place for locals and visitors to relax, stroll, and reflect on history
