Amir Temur Square
Amir Temur Square is the central plaza of Tashkent, Uzbekistan, known for its equestrian statue of the 14th-century conqueror Tamerlane (Amir Temur). Originally established in 1882 as Constantinov Square by Russian General Chernyaev, it was renamed Revolution Square during the Soviet era. After independence, the square was redesigned to honor Amir Temur, symbolizing national pride. Surrounded by cultural institutions, banks, and hotels, the square features lush gardens and fountains, making it a popular gathering spot for locals and visitors alike.
