Hazrati Imam Complex

The Hazrati Imam Complex, located in Tashkent’s Olmazor district, is one of Uzbekistan’s most significant religious and architectural sites, built between the 16th and 20th centuries. The complex was formed around the mausoleum of Sheikh Abu Bakr Muhammad Kaffal Shashi. It includes the Barakhan Madrasah, Muyi Muborak Madrasah, Tilla Sheikh Mosque, Namozgah Mosque, Hazrati Imam Mosque, and the new administrative building of the Muslim Board of Uzbekistan. The Muyi Muborak Madrasah houses the 7th-century Osman Quran — considered one of the oldest surviving copies of the holy book. The site serves as both a spiritual center and a showcase of traditional craftsmanship and Islamic architecture.
