Abay Park

Abay Park is one of the largest public parks in central Shymkent, Kazakhstan. It serves as a cultural, recreational, and patriotic space for families and visitors. Covering an area of approximately 40 hectares, the park includes the “Glory” Memorial, Shymkent Circus, “Ak Arys” Sports Complex, tennis courts, football fields, children’s playgrounds, and walking paths. It offers free Wi-Fi and shaded rest areas. The Victory Memorial, opened on the 65th anniversary of WWII, plays a key role in fostering patriotism among youth. Named after the great Kazakh poet Abay Qunanbaiuly, the park is a beloved cultural and spiritual retreat for the city’s residents.
